Colorado Mills has
been in business since 1999 with their Animal Feed and Grain Division
and expanded their market presence with a Sunflower Oil Division
established in 2006.
Located in Lamar, in South East Colorado, Colorado Mills produces a
total Colorado sunflower oil product from processing to label.
Made from 100%
Non-GMO, locally-grown, high oleic sunflower seeds, Colorado Mills Sunflower
Oil is extracted in an organic refining process where the full
sunflower outer shell and seed are crushed and filtered. No
harmful solvents are used in this process, just sheer force and natural
filtration through the earth. Refraining from "winterizing"
the oil, natural wax remains present in this sunflower oil.
Leaving the wax to settle, allows the oil to retain 3X's the amount of
Vitamin E compared to winterized olive oil. An Omega-9 oil, sunflower
oil has many health benefits and is free of trans-fats.
Colorado Mills Sunflower
Oil is perfect for frying, sautéing, baking, dressing salads or as
a dipping oil. It's versatility is key, allowing one oil to wear
the many hats necessary in your kitchen.
