Delivery Driver & Customer Service Specialist (Broomfield)

Company Description: SOURCE Local Foods is a wholesale food distribution company that provides all-local, natural, and organic produce, meats, cheeses, dairy, grocery items and more. SOURCE Local Foods is a sister company of recycOil LLC, which believes in creating economic, social, and environmental value by "closing the loop" for regional and local food, fuel, and waste. recycOil provides value to Colorado restaurants, grocers and other food facilities by recycling their used cooking oil for conversion into clean-burning biodiesel. Responsibilities

Delivering quality local foods to restaurants and grocers throughout Colorado
Pick up food from local farms and processors and accurately check all products
Move, organize and load food on and off trucks at customer/vendor locations as well as company warehouse
Assist in maintaining clean and organized warehouse as required by federal, state and local regulations
Interface with food buyers and producers, including talking about product quality and origins

Qualifications:

Truck driving experience -- including winter and mountain driving and/or farm equipment experience
DOT Compliance experience preferred

Outside Sales

Responsibilities A SOURCE Local Foods Outside Sales Representative is responsible for providing sales, customer service, relationship maintenance, collections and other related services, as needed, for prospective and current SOURCE Local Foods customers. This includes:

Direct food sales to chefs and food buyers
Engaging new restaurants and grocers to buy local with SOURCE
Accurately entering sales order into QuickBooks
Educating chefs and food buyers on local foods procurement cycles & schedules
Connecting with customers via in-person visits, phone calls, text messages and email
Reporting daily sales calls, successes, and challenges to management team during your “Freshmen” year

This position works primarily outside the office in your specific sales territory. We ask your attendance for regularly scheduled Monday meetings, which may be attended via conference call, and occasional in-person meetings at the Broomfield office.

Other responsibilities include embodying company culture of excellence, continual improvement and fun!

Compensation: Outside Sales are compensated with a modest base salary of $12,000 annually, paid out semi-monthly, as well as competitive commissions. Outside sales receive 20% of the net sale ($total sale – $cost of goods) on a cash basis.

Assistant Buyer & Inventory Control Specialist (Broomfield)

Purpose: The SOURCE Assistant Buyer & Inventory Control Specialist ensures that SOURCE Local Foods purchasing and inventory operations are accurate and efficient. As a key member of a small team, the Assistant Buyer & Inventory Control Specialist places orders with local meat, produce, grocery, dairy and beverage producers after analyzing and auditing inventory levels and sales patterns to ensure orders are optimized.

Responsibilities:

General Inventory Control responsibilities

Understand and communicate the critical importance of tight, accurate inventory control, recordkeeping and inventory accuracy procedures.
Actively monitor / audit product inventory levels, product quality, food safety compliance and all associated paperwork
Physically check and count products in the warehouse as needed
Accurately track transactions in the inventory control software and other data management software
Investigate and resolve record keeping errors and product discrepancies
Understand the entire SOURCE Local Foods product mix
Communicate with lead buyers, sales reps and company management regarding inventory levels, product quality, deliveries, pick-ups and other matters as needed
Implement new policies and procedures to continually improve accuracy, compliance and vendor satisfaction

General Assistant Buyer responsibilities

Fully understand SOURCE's local procurement model
Assess order history and order projections product-by-product
Plan order levels to maximize customer satisfaction while minimizing spoilage from over-ordering
Place many diverse orders per day by each producer's deadline
Communicate supply and procurement issues to the team

Participate in team meetings on a regular and as-needed basis

Qualifications:

Highly organized and detail oriented, with demonstrated experience optimizing business systems

Physical Demands:

Long hours working in the warehouse; includes sitting at a computer, walking around the warehouse, operating reach truck, twisting, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 70 lbs.

Schedule: On-duty during business hours, flexible schedule a must, may start as early as 5am if needed, occasional evening work, schedule may shift as necessary. Will split time between a busy warehouse and a busy open-layout office where there is risk of constant interruption.
