Baked
Goods
from Gluten
Free Things
The baked goods created by John Irvin, founder of Gluten Free Things,
include an expansive portfolio of products all created gluten
free. John is not your average culinary story. His background can
be traced to mechanical engineering. Surprisingly, this science
background has lead to building a business with unique machinery to
create specialized procedures that deal with the varying consistencies
of non-glutenous pastry recipes. Special each in their own vein,
several of John's recipes involve several ingredients to achieve the
consistency, texture and taste to formulate doughs that maintain the
integrity which hold up to the glutenous versions. For John,
flavor comes first.
Gluten Free Things
offers many standard, desired, top-selling gluten free items such as
pizza dough (both pre-rolled crusts and dough balls), muffins, cookies
and cookie dough. You'll find Gluten Free Things' cookies and
muffins to be square in shape. John claims that it's not
"square" to be gluten free, and utilizing this fun and
different shape for his product yields products that are efficient,
easy to stock on shelves and require less packaging. They stand
out and catch your eye.
The fun does not stop here. The line continues into a world of
more unique gluten free products that are much harder for general
consumers to find. These items include French loaves, croutons,
Biscotti, graham crackers, flat bread and English muffins. John
himself practices a gluten free lifestyle and continues to
innovate. Coming this summer he plans to release take-n-bake
gluten free pizzas available in both dairy and vegan versions.
A few
sustainable business practices Gluten Free Things
hangs their hat on include recycling egg shells and donating to
area gardeners and farmers, recycling egg cartons to the Denver Food
Bank and donating products to local schools and churches in order to
further educate our community on ways to achieve a gluten free
lifestyle for health and happiness.
Not trained to think the conventional way, John throws out
traditional baking knowledge and approaches his business in a fresh
way. The name is simple, and speaks to the product. Gluten Free Things
are really all-things-delicious, as a gluten free option.
