Craft-brewed in Boulder, CO, Upstart Kombucha (by BCJ Beverage) stands out strong among its other contenders.    Recently re-branded, Upstart Kombucha was formerly known as Zeel Kombucha.  You will find the same great flavors you know and love, with a sleek new label and simplified product names. 

What began as a hobby for co-founder Josh Garner has now developed into a full time master brewing career.
Made in small batches with nothing but pure ingredients, the product flavors are approachable, effervescent and refreshing.  With a unique pre-bottling filtration method, you'll find the absence of floating SCOBY (symbiotic colonies of bacteria and yeast) commonly found in most kombucha beverages.  The ratio of ingredients (tea + sugar) is well balanced, yielding a product that is not vinegary tasting, nor too sweet.  And, it's not just any ingredients used in this brewing process.  The pure cane sugar sourced for this beverage is organic, vegan, fair trade, non GMO and cruelty free.  

The flavor profiles are robust and brewed exclusively according to each flavor (not in big batches with flavors added at the end).  Lemon Ginger is light and refreshing made with a peppery African spice known as grains of paradise.  Herbal Green is a green tea variety infused with rosemary, sage and peppermint.  This flavor is deliciously dry and perfectly cleansing, enjoy it post workout!  Rose Bud is delicate and sophisticated, brewed with white tea and, you guessed it, beautiful rose buds.  Berry Black mixes black tea and vanilla Rooibos with a combination of currants, cherries and blueberries.
