Green, Sustainable
Like Minded Businesses

After years, literally, looking for a great bank to work with for our day-to-day transaction business, we are so grateful to have connected with Alpine Bank!

As a small business, it is our pleasure to share some information with you all about Alpine Bank - especially as they are expanding from the West Slope to downtown Denver, and are actively seeking relationships with other green, sustainable and like minded businesses. Alpine is unique in several ways. They are Colorado based. They are employee owned. They bank some of Colorado's premier renewable energy, agriculture and community development projects.

We hope you will give Matt Teeters a call (970 471 9289 / [email protected]), check out the great work they're doing at Alpine Bank Green Team Initiative, and consider keeping your commercial banking dollars at work here in Colorado with our friends at Alpine Bank.

Letter from CEO & Chief Fungi

Giving Thanks. The wild, zany, sexy and sometimes really scary costumes of Halloween are getting put away, and we're turning our thoughts toward Thanksgiving. The days are getting shorter. Our clocks just "fell back." We are enjoying the transition from late summer to early winter.

In a time of Thanksgiving, I am so happy to think about all of the amazing, truly wonderful food Jedi's that we are working with day in and day out. Amazing farmers, ranchers and food producers located in special spots all around Colorado. Not-to-miss restaurants, markets, cafes, hotels and cafeterias whose chef's and F&B managers are truly leading the way in building the local food community and culture. And of course, I am uber-grateful for the amazing team I have the honor and privilege of working with here at SOURCE. Our drivers are the face of SOURCE on the road, come rain, shine or snow, delivering awesome products while providing expert, friendly customer service. Our sales team is building deep, exciting relationships with chefs and managers all over the region - creating a veritable web-work of local food culture. The office and warehouse crew is continually improving systems, procuring specialty items from hundreds of suppliers for hundreds of customers, and having a heckuva lot of fun getting-er-done day in and day out! Our Board of Directors and Advisors is stalwart in their support and unwavering in their expectations of excellence and performance.

These relationships form the bedrock of our work building sustainable food systems together. We begin this holiday season giving thanks for each of you reading this, for the work you are doing in your node of the web to grow, harvest, process, source, prepare and share local foods with your friends, families and communities.

In gratitude,

Aaron

CEO & Chief Fungi

Don't forget - our sister company, RECYCOIL, is holding it's 7th annual Holiday recycOil event at several drop off points around the region on Saturday, November 30th from 10am until 2pm. Please visit recycOil.com to find out the closest location to you to drop off your fryer oil after frying your Thanksgiving turkey. Happy Thanksgiving!

SOURCE Local Foods is grateful to continue growing in our community. We are grateful specifically to customers, suppliers and stakeholders like you. Just last month, we are thrilled to have added 50% to our truck fleet! - a third SOURCE truck is now on the road! Given the increasing demand for Colorado local products, we are working hard, and continually improving our systems to procure amazing local products for you efficiently and expertly!

We are pleased to announce EXTENDED ordering time frames for our customers! SOURCE customers now have greater flexibility when ordering with SOURCE Local Foods. For all Denver Metro/Front Range accounts, you may now place your orders with your Area Sales Rep until 5:30PM on Monday-Thursday. The Friday cutoff will remain at 3PM. If you are a customer located in the mountain regions, please discuss ordering and delivery schedules with your Area Sales Rep - SOURCE is expanding again in the mountains and is now proudly serving the Breckenridge community!

We appreciate you keeping in mind that many of the local products that we are sourcing for you are procured on specific cycles and in many cases are custom prepared for your order. While it is our goal to provide you with the greatest ordering flexibility, the earlier that we receive your order, the better we can ensure product fulfillment for that order.

Team Updates

A big welcome to our newest team members!

Michele Lewis

Resident Foodie, Denver Area Sales

What missing menu item would make your Thanksgiving incomplete:

Thanksgiving would not be complete without my friends and family. If not for them, how could we share all that we have to be thankful for.

John  Granat

Local Hunter Gatherer, Northern Colorado Sales

What missing menu item would make your Thanksgiving incomplete:

Can't go wrong with an easy, but necessary, Thanksgiving side staple of roasted Brussels Sprouts w/shredded Parmesan, Asiago and Romano cheese. Toss with some olive oil, sea salt and pepper, gotta have it! It reminds me of the midwest when I was a kid.

Suzanne Johnson

Local Produce "Source"eress, Driver

What missing menu item would make your Thanksgiving incomplete:

My thanksgiving menu would be incomplete without the stuffing!  To me it's the best part of the meal. It symbolizes family and togetherness. It just wouldn't be the same without it.
