Diestel Turkey Ranch, located in Sonara, CA, began in 1949 and has kept with tradition over the years, producing quality turkeys that have lined holiday tables for decades. Currently owned by Tim and Joan Diestel, Diestel Turkey Ranch is one of the few family-owned turkey processors left in the United States. Diestel prides themselves on producing "tender and juicy" birds and maintaining a close relationship with their customers.

 

  

What makes Diestel really unique is their commitment to health and the environment. All of their organic products are third-party certified by the Oregon Tilth Certified Organic and are involved in the Global Animal Partnership (GAP) which works to improve conditions and animal welfare on farms. They also maintain sustainable farming practices and involve themselves in the community as often as they can.

 

While the birds grow, they roam the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains where they can grow and develop at a natural pace. During processing, the birds remain gluten, casein and preservative free, with no added salt, and are ice-chilled for quality, ensuring the freshest bird out there! 

  

Diestel turkeys are antibiotic free and come in a variety of sizes from 10-28 pounds, priced at $3.25 per pound.

 

 

 

Diestel Organic, otherwise known as Heidi's Hens, are also available for pre-order! These organic turkeys are raised on a nutritious vegetarian diet of organic feed, free from GMO's, antibiotics, and growth hormones. They too are 100% free of gluten, casein and preservatives. 

 

Diestel Organic turkeys come in a range from 10-28 pounds and are $4.40 per pound.
